Gumtree Gatherings is a community initiative by Gumtree Originals that brings people together through shared experiences. Each gathering is centred around a practical skill, hobby or interest, giving people a reason to get outdoors, connect with their community, and learn from passionate locals.
Whether you're completely new to an activity or have years of experience, everyone is welcome. Most gatherings are intentionally kept small to encourage conversation, hands-on learning and genuine connection.

Birdwatching 101 — Join a local birding expert for a guided walk and learn how to identify native birds and where to find them.
Bushcraft (Kids & Adults) — Learn practical outdoor skills such as carving, shelter building, knot tying and working with natural materials.
Vet Tips — Local veterinarians share practical advice on performing basic health checks on your dog and recognising common health issues early.
Bush Library — Bring a book you love, discover something new, and meet fellow readers.
Community Gallery — Apply to exhibit your work in a free community space, giving creatives an opportunity to share their work with others.
Recipe Swap — Exchange family recipes, favourite meals and the stories behind them.
Basic Bike Maintenance — Learn how to adjust your brakes and gears, and keep your bike running safely and smoothly.
